Charlie Mackesy is a British artist, illustrator, and author who began his career as a cartoonist before illustrating for Oxford University Press. His debut book, The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse, spent more consecutive weeks on the Sunday Times Non-Fiction Chart than any other book and remains a #1 New York Times bestseller, winning both the Waterstones Book of the Year and the Barnes & Noble Book of the Year in translations across more than 50 languages. Its 2023 animated adaptation won the Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film and the BAFTA Award for Best British Film. Mackesy also co-runs Mama Buci, a honey social enterprise in Zambia.

Readers are calling it comforting, luminous, and quietly wise:
Readers describe Always Remember as the warm hug they didn't know they needed.
Many say Mackesy's illustrations make them slow down and breathe for the first time all day.
Several reviewers call it the perfect gift for anyone going through a hard season.
Longtime fans note it captures the same magic as the original without ever feeling repetitive.
