Emily Giffin is the internationally bestselling author of twelve previous novels, including her breakout debut Something Borrowed — later adapted into a major motion picture — along with Something Blue, Baby Proof, Love the One You’re With, Heart of the Matter, Where We Belong, The One & Only, First Comes Love, All We Ever Wanted, The Lies That Bind, Meant to Be, and The Summer Pact. She lives in Atlanta with her family and two dogs.

Pre-release readers are calling it nostalgic, dramatic, and un-put-downable:
Kirkus Reviews: “A deliciously dramatic look at how one woman’s past influences her future.”
Harlan Coben: “Reading this love story and totally obsessed . . . It might be Giffin’s best—and that’s saying something.”
The New York Times Book Review: “Remember Sweet Home Alabama? Giffin has given us a modern Midwestern update of that classic story.”
Booklist: “Giffin will once again galvanize her legions of readers with another of her engrossing signature tales in which there are no easy answers.”
This book is for you if
You’ve ever wondered what would happen if your first love called you out of the blue, years after you thought you’d both moved on.
You love a small-town-versus-big-city love triangle with real emotional stakes on both sides.
You’ve read Something Borrowed or All We Ever Wanted and want that same messy, can’t-put-it-down Giffin drama.
You want a story that treats grief and love as tangled together — not a book that shies away from loss to get to the romance.
You’re drawn to homecoming stories, where going back to where you’re from means confronting who you actually are.
“★★★★★ You’re renting a brand-new hardcover for $12 instead of paying $30+. Even if you keep it, you come in under what you’d pay elsewhere.”
