Dara Horn has spent two decades writing her way toward this book. A three-time National Jewish Book Award winner with a doctorate in Hebrew and Yiddish literature from Harvard, she's the author of novels including The World to Come and Eternal Life, and of the widely discussed essay collection People Love Dead Jews, which first argued that societies love Jewish victims far more than living Jews. Horn has taught at Harvard, Sarah Lawrence, and Yeshiva University, written for The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and The Atlantic, and served on Harvard's Antisemitism Advisory Group—experience she draws on directly in The Final Solution to the Jewish Question. She lives in New Jersey with her family.

Critics are calling it necessary, unflinching, and surprisingly funny:
"Dara Horn is a phenomenal writer," tackling material that is "profoundly funny" — David Herman, Jewish Chronicle
"So necessary and so disquieting…an outstanding book with a bold mission." — Yaniv Iczkovits, The New York Times Book Review
"Extremely engaging... Horn will make you think." — Jeffrey Salkin, The Washington Post
"Written with clarity and understanding, this is an important book that will engender much-needed discussion." — Booklist, starred review
This book is for you if
You read People Love Dead Jews and want Dara Horn's next unflinching argument about how antisemitism actually works.
You want a writer who has sat on Harvard's Antisemitism Advisory Group and met with the White House and Congress to translate that experience into a book anyone can read.
You're looking for a serious, sharply argued response to the antisemitism debates of the last few years—Holocaust education, anti-Zionism, even AI propaganda—that doesn't flinch from uncomfortable truths on any side.
You appreciate writers who can be both mordantly funny and morally serious on the same page.
You want a book that ends in something other than despair: a real, argued-for vision for what comes next.
“★★★★★ You’re renting a brand-new hardcover for $12 instead of paying $30+. Even if you keep it, you come in under what you’d pay elsewhere.”
